w123 anti roll bar q's

hi, i've broken the front anti roll bar on my 1983 230te. Duncanclarke is breaking a w123 280e, does anyone know if the anti roll bar from his car will fit? if not any suggestions on where i might find one? Thanks.

I would imagine the ARB will be common to all W123 chassis.

If the ARB is different for the 280 I imagine the only difference will be in the diameter and this will be slightly larger. So as you would be upgading if this were the case there isn't a problem. In fact it would sharpen the front end up a little.

I would have thought the diam would be the same and the spring rate would be different if at all.

Putting on a different ARB would make the car understeer/oversteer more (depending how the rate changes).

Having said that, I'm with Tom and think that that ARB will be the same for all W123 chassis.

Somebody with access to part numbers will probably post something shortly.
