W123 Central Locking Vacuum - Help please!

Did as you suggested AP and it switched off a treat. Seems the problem is a big leak somewhere. It's typical as i start a new job tomorrow involving a commute and the car starts playing up! Times like these make a modern jap/euro box look appealling? Being a bit colour blind makes working out the trace colours on the pipes fun too. Where is that Nissan dealer........

OK I know it's been nearly 6 years since my original post but as so often on these forums the problem gets solved and the forum gets forgotten. So sorry and thanks to all for the help.
The vacuum tank was at fault as suggested. A good 2nd hand one was fitted and everything worked great until, and I hope after, I sold the car.
I also fitted a new master cylinder but never got more than a couple of bars working in the heated rear window!
