W123 compatible alarm system

Dear all,

I wish to fit an alarm to my W123. Any thoughts on which system I should go for. I'm not after an insurance approved one, just something that works with my central locking and gives a LED indicator when active.

Best wishes,

Any alarm should do what you describe. The only tricky thing is the central locking. It wasn't electrically controlled on your car so I'm not sure how it's done from an alarm.

Hi,
With vehicle of this age you will have to ensure that both front doors activate the C/L as the drivers door may only have a key activated micro-switch to operate the vac C/L system and nothing to physically open the drivers door other than the driver turning the key.
I hope this makes sense.
