W123 differential

Hi,

I just picked up a 1980 W123 200.

There is some droning from the diff, and an occassional knocking noise which I suspect is from it too, or from the back of the driveshaft.

I might be able to get a diesel W123 2.0 which apparantly has only 100k on it but the bodywork is rotten.

My question is... is this diff the same or would there be differences (ratios?)

Just go to the 123's in the list.then back axle, and you can see all of the part numbers
