W123 gearbox rebuild -

Hi all,

Bad news, my gearbox needs rebuilding. The seals on the torque converter have gone. I've been quoted an eye-watering £1050+VAT. At this price its not worth doing, BUT can anyone help? Am thinking of sourcing another gearbox perhaps? Any ideas will be much appreciated.

I'm based in North London, the car still drives.
