Does anybody know the quickest way to get the heater matric out. Do I remove the dash or the centre console. One of the channels has blocked but it's not leaking.
sounds like dieselman has a realy good idea, believe me you don't want to remove the heater matrix unless you have two or three days to spare. By the way how do you know it has blocked ???????
It's freezing on the passenger side and luke warm on the driver's. I will check the valves before I attempt to remove the matrix. In my somewhat limited experience a good shake in combination with a back flush usually does the trick.
Bit annoying really as I removed the dash recently to screw down the timber trims which had curled.
Incidently, it appears that to 123 300TD has been dumped around the corner. That might interest Dieselman.
Back flushed the heater matrix but still no warmth on the left hand side. If anybody knows the quickest method of removing the heater matrix from the w123 circa 1981 I would appreciate it. I'm sure that a good shake whilst back flushing would do the trick. My misses keep nagging about the cold.
Sound advice. I've been thinking about a new model with variomatic moan feature etc. However jking aside. The left hand side of the screen takes much longer to demist which hacks me off.
