All 4 windows on my 1984 W123 230e have packed up! Fuses are fine but I can't find the relays?? I've searched this and other forums for the answer with no luck, any ideas?? Thanks.
Does it have any relays?, there are none on early 124 and 201 models, except to apply power for closing them while the door is open.
If they have all packed up one at a time suspect the wires into the doors or the switches being full of filth, you can dismantle and clean out the switches if you are carefull.
I've got the Haynes manual for the W123 and although the wiring diagram shows 2 relays there is no mention of the location in the car. All the windows failed at once leading me to believe it's a relay fault?
Thanks for the diagrams, I finally found both relays hiding beneath a fabric shield behind the speedo! Replaced the faulty relay and now have lovely working windows again!
