Does anyone know where I can get a service pack for my bosch alternator.
I need brushes and the diode pack.

Best place is authorised Bosch distributor, or failing that any local company that refurbishes alternators and starter motors

Take your VIN number to Merc main dealer and they will supply the correct part - no messing around.

I've done it.

bowers uk ,midland continental are the main supplyers of starter/alt components

ull need the alt number or the number off the back of the diode pack

bosch number is 10 digits starting 0 ??? ??? ???

Thanks for all replies, I didnt think mercedes would offer a service pack, only a complete replacement unit. Will try them first.
Kth286, how much did yours cost?

Regulator and brushes as a unit, were £43.96 retail in July 2004.

Do ask for discount.

Course these aren't "real" parts but any Bosch service centre can do those. Or try the dealer. I know everyone on this forum thinks dealerships are manned exclusively by the spawn of Satan but I've found them to be great. If smelling a little of Sulphur & Brimstone...
