Hi there. hope everything is ok with all members. going directly to the point. i'm starting to get mad about one question, that is making me search internet web sites like i never did before. i need help. my problem is:

i've a W124 230E (89), and i bought wheel for the car with this specification:

17x8 ; obviously with a 5x112 bolt pattern

a question remains...i was thinking to put the wheels with a 235/45/R17 tire...i need you to tell me if with this combination of tire and wheel i'll be succeded. does a 235/45/R17 with a 17x8 wheel fixes well on the car? will i have problems with suspension fender...or like i'll have problems while turning the steering wheel? thats the many many questions that are hammering on my head all the time! hope someone can tell something about this matter. regards and farewell!

thats considerably bigger than the factory fitment for that model...

its the rolling radius that needs to be compared and we'd need to know the offset. what is the original offset and tyresize

hi there! i'm not totally sure. but i belive the stock tire as this measures:

15x6.5 195/65/R17...as for the offset of the wheel, i confesse that i'm not totally confidence in this area. i'm trying to understand it by seeing it on my web sites....what about a 17x8 225/45/R17?

a 225/4517 is much closer in rolling radius to a 195/65/15 assuming the offsets are the same you should have any problems, other than a harsher ride due to the lesser amount of rubber.

I have got 225/45/17 at the front and 245/40/17 at the back. They fit fine and have no problems at all. The reason for wider tyre at the back is that I have 8" Wide front AMG wheels and 9" at the back.

What offset are the wheels? That's the most important thing here

You can make anything fit if you try hard enough. But there are so many variables that's it's difficult to say if a combination will fit without modifications
