I posted a while back about chocolate loom syndrome. Well I got the loom off the car only to find that the "Wurzles" have beaten me to it. Insulation tape everywhere wires chopped and badly soldered etc. I found someone with a loom but sods law its the wrong one. Ive jury rigged the old loom and metered it out and its ok for now although not installed (its just draped across the engine). Its still got a missfire on coil 1.
2 Questions - does anyone know of a way of testing the output from the ECU (to see if the coil is receiving a signal), and can anyone recommend someone to repair the ECU if suspected faulty?
Anyone got either an engine bay loom or an ECU or both? I'm gradualy losing my sanity. Further note to those that answered my previous post, thanks, it looks like Im going to end up 600quid out of pocket on this one as you all warned me...oh well I learnt !!
