:cry:pLEASE HELP MA CAR WONT START av had ma car for 9year and had no bother with the engine.now after sitting for 3 months with no battery in it she wont start :cry:Will the ecu need programed or something ..IS IT OK TO CHECK FOR A SPARK BY EARTHING THE SPARKPLUG ON THE CAR... will this action short anything .....Please help i beg you all please Thankyou for your time:D

It's ok to check for spark that way.
If no spark,remove the dizzy cap & check in there-they eat these for breakfast!
Can you hear the fuel pump running when you switch on the ignition?If not check the fuel pump relay.

you can check for a spark but first when you turn on the ignition do you hear the fuel pump run for a few sec's ? if not check the ovp relay & the fuel pump relay . if you hear the pump run you can test for a spark but it's common for the dizzy cap to suffer from dampness if they sit unused for any time..if you do the basic checks if no luck post back 2953601459_5e69ae5da7[1].jpg

Ma fuel pump works a can hear that no probs and a smell petrol after trying and trying....A took the dizzy off and checked it and its cool it was replaced with a merc one about 2 year ago also i have magnacore comp leads (custom made years ago and now they stock them )there is the usuall little smoke if you take the oil filer cap off.........ma car was minted ...never missed a beat .......THANKS FOR YOUR TIME THANK YOU

Hello dudes/dudettes cheers for the help ....a checked for a spark and there fine except number 6 so a will check that tomorrow ....a had a look for fuses at the battery and only seen 2 x 15A but they were fine...a checked all other fuses in the fuse box and its all cool .....a can smell petrol after trying for 5minutes ....the sparks seem bright enough ....thats the only thing a hate about ma baby is the fact you cant tow it to bump start it ......am hoping its just cos its damp and cold .........any more help would be so MINTED thanks for your time cheers
