W124 320 coupe airbags

Hi all, as a new owner of a 1993 coupe i,ve noticed a label whilst cleaning it on the drivers side b post referring to the airbags. It's a caution sticker saying the airbags should be changed in 2007!

1, How concerned should i be?
2, Do airbags have a sell by date?

Anyone else come across this sticker, last thing i want is a potential time bomb.
any info appreciated.

To give you an idea... The airbags in my Dad's 1989 300TE24 weren't changed and I doubt they ever will be.

Don't worry too much about it IMHO. They wont detonate for no reason, more they wont go off if you have a bump.

So why the warning, mercedes being over cautious?
or to stop any potential law suits.

a bit of both but it shows they had i good idea the car would last that long
