W124 Automatic - Reverse Gear Vibration

My 230TE Automatic vibrates badly when cold, in Reverse and the brake is on.  Little or no vibration in Drive and when hot there is no real vibration in Reverse.  The mountings have been checked and are OK.  Can anyone help shed any light please??

Hi Paul

I dont know if this will be of any help,but more/less what your saying,well thats what mine did when it wasn't firing on all cylinders,I now you dont mention a missfire,so you probably dont have one.I dont if thats been any help,if not someone should advise soon.
