Blower started squeaking a while ago, it stopped spinning a week back completely. Just got myself a new one, plugged it in and apparently it doesn’t get power. I replaced all fuses one by one and saw no difference. Where to look next? No A/C or cabin filter. Year of make 1988.

Test the switch on the central dash, could have burned out.
power in - out (when on) - will elemiate the switch

I’m not an expert, can you explain in detail how I should do this?

Did you get like for like, I recall there was models with 2 hamster wheels. I replaced mine a good 10 years ago on my old beloved W124.
I recall the merc geniuine was a ridiculous price then (over 400 pounds) I ended up with a part from ECP a fraction of the cost.

Yes, it’s the correct model. I have only one wheel. The end of the wire going to the blower gets no electricity.

How did you test it for 12 volts ? If it worked before then it should work again . The bird cage needs to be on the car to earth it .Or you blew fuses operating on it .
