Do not know if your car is a 124 or a 210 if you go to this site and find your car with the first 6 numbers of the VIN , then go to heating and you will find it

w124 blower resistor location

Thank you ,I have tried that site without any luck. My car is a W124. I have looked in both foot wells and it's not there. The blower motor has a red wire and a blue wire running directly from it to the firewall and I cannot see where it goes from there. etaxi

There are 4 resistors (Wire wound) in the box.

You could do a search of the forum there were many postings on it late last year

I have searched . I have asked my local dealer and he doesnt know.I really need someone to tell me where the blower motor resister is located .Unfortunately those parts drawings are not accurate in this regard .They are only a guide for obtaining a part number which is incidentally 124 821 21 51. etaxi

You can find the resistor / regulator in the engine bay area underneath the blower motor, which is located underneath the window wiper / air intake area. check this link for specific guidance (even tho my 94 e280 T had slightly different rubbers it helped me a lot).

Not sure if this is any help but on my 1990 300d w124 it lurks up behind the servo towards the center area of the windscreen.

If you kneel down so you chin is almost touching the top of the front wing and then look at the panel that goes from behind servo and slopes upwards it will be visible .

If you look at the base of the windscreen then it sits about 8 inches further back if that makes sense.

Mine lives there and is held by two screws/bolts and roughly around 2 inch long and an inch high
