W124 convertible headlights adjustment.

Hi

Im moving to france within 3/4 months and considering taking my w124 convertible. Does anybody have experience in respect of would i need to change my headlamp units to pass the french mot equivalent/ controle technique.

Yes you will. Beam deflector stickers are not acceptable.
If you have a single rear fog light you may need to change rear lights too as it should be on the left of the vehicle. Some places will pick up on that, some won't.

... lists the headlamp units as available at about €350 each. But I'm a mite skeptical about that price. And even availability.

You may need to resort to eBay.fr. Lots of rear lamps available there. And there is leboncoin.fr. Just search for W124.
