W124 convertible hood stuck

Hood was taken out to get new shocks installed. Now it wont catch shut at rear (stands about 2.5cm clear of bodywork), and the 2 release catches on front widow refuse to move, really scared to yank hard on them.

When you say removed in what way?
Check all switches are connected and there's nothing jamming the mechanism.

Completely taken off the car

All you can do is go back over everything and check it's reinstalled correctly.
