Hi folks,
its my first post, and my first W124; a '95 E280 estate.
The cruise control does not work and I scoured the forum looking for tips and eventually decided to remove the amplifier. I removed the kick panel under the steering wheel, but there was no aluminium box to be found!!!
There were however two small black boxes (no inscription on either).
It looks to me like some kind of aftermarket cruise fitment as onhe box was cable-tied onto the other. Does anyone no anything about this?
The wiring harness had a label. It was difficult to read but it says:
BARDELLI CABLIGGI S.A.
HARNESS CABLE CODE C0580
TEST DATE 06/1995 (around when the car was registered)
C0580 SUCCESSFUL
If anyone can shed any light, I'd much appreciate it. I have taken a couple of pics and will post when I learn how to.
