Guys
I have noticed in a couple of late facelift W124s, they have a cubby box fitted in the centre console between the front seats-with a sliding lid. Does anyone know how these are fitted in and if they would slot in to the console of an earlier car like mine without replacing the whole console? I think they are really neat and would like to get one if fitting is easy.
Thanks.

yes all you need to do is remove the carpet and it will screw in place. It is held in position by two self tappers at the very front inside the box.
