Wonder if anyone heard of this before, fan stopped working (therefore misted up windows in damp weather) have a mate who had this problem with a newer E class, turned out the problem was a resistor down in the foot well had blown! Thought about this as will have to take wiper assembly & plastic covering below bonnet to access, anyone else had this problem ? Reading through the blower motor brushes seem to have caused problems for many, any thoughts - have checked fuse in main fuse box not aware of any other fusing for this circuit!

It'd expect it's the motor brushes or bearings, particularly if the fan used to be grumbly or intermittent

fan just stopped working, so methinks will just have to strip out panel below wiper assembly to check out motor, went to local MB dealer they want £195 + vat for motor! Thanks for info!
