w124 e class estate rear window change

Just closed my tailgate with a new house radiator in the rear which has just gone through the glass and shattered it......... so I need to renew the glass
I'm guessing that a new one fitted is going to be expensive as its the fronts that are made in numbers with the car being 1993 I'm likely to go via the breaker route anyone refitted one of these sont know whether to have a go myself or procure it from a breaker then get a pro to fit it.
I would think also thateven with a second hand screen / tailgate i will still need a new seal and thats probably a merc dealer only item

There were a few estate 124s being broken on here. Search the for sale section and you might find a new lid with glass.

Much, much easier to swop the glass than to swop the tailgate

You should find a window easily enough. Get a professional to fit it. My local company would come to me and charge £10 or £15 to fit it

I have a 124 estate I am breaking if you still need the glass. Heated screen works too. Be aware that buying from a breakers will not guarantee that the heating elements work. All they do is remove them without testing.
