the fault is the odd time i get a kickback from the foot brake but no abs light ect i can also hear the abs run for a few secs it only seem to be at low speeds when i stop i dont feel anything odd when slowing from speed ANY IDEAS OR HAD THIS PROB IT THE PAST

I've come across cars where the ABS kicks in in the last few feet when you're stopping. I would think it's definitely an ABS fault and I'd expect it to be an ECU or ABS pump block fault

thanks hope to have a good look on sat it just seems since i put the car back on the road after a year it seems that the faults come faster than i can fix them but getting better now i was thinking of sending it for scrap last year but had it for years & have other cars so its not a prob if its laid up for any time

One of the front wheel abs sensors is probably on its way out given the age of the car. Classic symptom is pulsing through the pedal just as you come to a stop. They go high resistance then eventually open circuit. The abs light wont come on until it does go o/c. You can access the connectors for them where they come through the inner wings and measure the resistance.

its the first time ever i have had probs with abs on any car i own so time to learn with a bit of help thanks

had a look today all seems ok just cleand up the sensors + connectors and it seems to have done the job for now
