W124 e220 no heating

not at all mechanically minded.. we have a w124 e220 estate that we have owned for a couple of years ... & our problem is ..
no cool air through the vents ... the two outside vents blow hot air & the two middle vents warm air ... even when setting is on blue colouring for cold.
It has been like this from day one ... making journeys very hot !
As another sidepoint .. went to see if air con needed regasing as we have never done this . Was told there was NO air con as someone Previously had put a belt on pulley excluding the air con .. I wonder why this would be..

i had this and got a second hand duo-valve and it fixed the problem.

the temp issue is down to the duovalve. - do a search and you'll find plenty of diagnostics info. Don't just change it though - test it first as there can be control issues with the thermostatic control system.

Now I've helped you - On my 2004 E270 cdi - I can't get any hot air !! It's flipping freezing Any ideas?
(only joking - the service was due anyway so she's booked into the dealer next week
