W124 E220 ticking/rattle

the wiring loom crumbles in the engine bay but it can be hard to see due to the black insulation tape.it's common with w124's

I know it's been a long time, but do you remember the problem and how to solve it? I have probably the exact same issue on my 01 w210, ticking noise from the back most noticeable when going uphill in the range between 2000-3000 rpm.
