Hi,

My heater is just blowing in fresh air, no matter what temparature i set the dials to.

This would be lovely, except it is -3 outside.

I have checked the duovalve, and it is working fine, they click fine and the little valves move as you change the dial from hot to cold.

I am totally stumped. as there is no water in the pipes (on the passenger side) however the little pump on the duovalve is on and pumping water.

Is there a way of bodging the system so its permanatly on hot (for the time being) or even better does anyone know of a solution.

P.s I tried to backflow the system, to see if it was blocked, by connecting the garden hose to it, and the water just trickeled out the other end (lots of pressure built up in the garden hose), so maybe something is blocked, but what?

I'd really appreciate someones help.

Update,

i have mended the problem.... where the car had been stood the washers/seals in side the duovalve had expanded, and hence didn't let the water through. hope this helps if anyone else has the same problem..

I solved it by skimming them down... baking hot inside now

Excellent !! I've just re-connected the little fan behind the glovebox that has something to do with interior temp control; I might be barking up the wrong tree then; it never gets _really_ hot inside the car.... but from your post, it seems my duos may be not working properly
