Not sure if ive brought this up here or not before

car gets to 50 ish mph and starts to judder with cruise on

60 mph its bad

65 mph it turns its self off

so i was told that as my tyres were slightly wrong that might be it they were 235 45 17 and are now 225 45 17 and still does it

so finally got myself a haynes manuall to find where the wee beastie lives and is it the cruise regulator i need to replace or the cruise sensor?

i cant live without cruise controll

Cruse control unit is under the cover below the steering wheel. Ususally the unit is faulty but can be repaired. Speed sensor is behind speedo but usually not the source for the problem as you engine CU need this signal also. Tyres have nothing do do with that fault as the cruse control starts up working at 35 miles ish...
