Following the article in MB enthusiast in April on W124 E60 AMG, I spent 3 months tracking one down and went to Germany to collect it in July. Sold my E39 M5 to make garage space. No regrets whatosever!

Always fond of the E500, and did not previously know the E60 existed. Awesome car. Totally discreet (gloss black with black leather) and unbelievable roadholding at high motorway speeds. Clocks straight past the 260 kmh mark on the speedo (in Germany). Led to believe true top speed is well over 180.

Basically, after any guidance I can get on sources of original brochures and original amg accessories. Understand a (discreet) amg monogrammed wood option was available but cannot track it down. Also understand amg clocks are available. Any guidance as to where I can track these down are appreciated.

Regards.

follow this link to a 'contact us' page. they may have some info that can help.

you could even go to a local MB dealer. a specialist AMG MB dealer would be helpful.

Mercedes Benz of Harrogate are AMG specialists that I know of.

www.mercedes-benz.co.uk and look for retailers. that should give you contact address for email. they may well have some stock laying around.

Nice one Hassan.....great car.

Having had a 500E I'm sure that the E60 will be one heck of an exciting ride.

In terms of original brochures, e-bay is a great place to find harder to find AMG publications....you will probably have to do a world wide search though rather than just the UK.

How did you find the experience of buying in Germany and importing it in? Any tips that you can share regarding documentation etc.

Many thanks

What a car .
I managed to get a brochure on e bay that covers all AMG cars in 1994 including the E60 . They go for between £5 and £20 depending on who is bidding. There are only 2 pages out of 35 on the E60 which really consists of one large double page pic and a photo of the 381 HP v8.

Nice brochure but not fantastically informative.
