In the poop right now .As my MOT extension is coming to an end i have booked my W124 260E in for the MOT test . So the last few days i have been checking , this, and that , as we do . And i came to check the screen washer jets, because that the jets do get blocked up after repeatedly polishing the bonnet . And i had one jet that was shooting the washer liquid over me as i operated the washer cycle from outside the car .I looked at the jet, and inside the jet holder i could see a part of the jet inside was missing. So this was the reason for the water going over me, and the car roof, and not on the screen .So the search was on ,, i found a pair on Ebay but after i messaged the seller, he said the jets wont be any use for the saloon , only for the coupe, and cabriolet .Can anyone verify this for me please .Because they look the same ones on Ebay as mine do . The part number is A124 860 0747. i thought most parts on the outside of the W124 were the same ., wings bonnet etc,.

I thought that Brian but seller said he had a lot of these, but all the ones for the saloon W124 had gone. He sent a picture after to show me . And the profile of the holders on his are lower angle, so the spray from the jets will be lower on the screen .I dont know why, the car is the same all but the rear end.Any how i purchased a used pair for much less . I only need one .The small hole in the holder had corroded on passengers side washer ,they do over time -like 32 years so i did well . Its the screen wash fluid that rots them out and turns them blueygrey. Thanks ..

Brian i only wanted a pair for my W124, now i have purchased a pair for mine. And also put a bid on a second set of washer jets ,, but these are for the C class, i can pass them on to a needy client on the forum .Just to clear my outgoings for them .

brainbrian what i have is a tool that me and you know more about it was before gas paint strippers came about . the tool i used was made for pricking the jet in the old paint strippers, it is just the job .The tube you can see is made of white metal alloy type of material , and as i said they do corrode over time and once you try to line them up , do tend to snap off as in my case .I know that one of the jet sets i have coming may be for the C class and just might be able to lift the jet up a little we ,,will see when they turn up .
