I have a W124 that has been sitting for several months, I decided to fire her up today, battery was flat, but once charged I tried all the electrics, all fine except the front passenger window went down but wouldn't come back up.
After removing the door card, I ascertained that the motor was working, but it was constantly in the down mode, whn you press the switch to come back up, all it does is stop the motor.
I removed the centre console and checked the switch, ( I removed it and swapped it with the drivers one, no change) I managed to get the window back up by swapping the wires over.
So, what else is there that could have gone wrong? a relay somewhere?

try cleaning up the wires at the block connector on the door that has two screws that join the motor wires

" try cleaning up the wires at the block connector on the door that has two screws that join the motor wires"
All clean and good connections. It is these wires that have the permanent feed that is driving the motor one way regardless of the switch.

There are relays, but so many different versions

I have a diagram that I can send but it is a huge file and some mail boxes cannot handle it

yes the two wires with flat faces that join against the two from the motor. if they start to corrode between the faces you will get a poor contact

Anybody?
It's definitely not a problem with the door connector or switch, but somewhere in between.

There is one main relay that joins up the comfort pack that sits under the rear seat.

I do have the details but it is a 19mb file, and could be sent via MSN

Television, If I lift the rear seat squab, is it obvious? or is there a panel I need to remove.
