Hello all, attached is the picture of my engine bay. Now to me its a W124 200TE and I have nothing to compare the engine with however when looking through ye old Mr Haynes manual I noticed the engine bay looks nothing like that of the 200TE engine detailed in there but does in fact look very similar to a 4 cylinder version of the 2.8. So my question is, what engine do I have in my car? And if it is the 2.0 engine like its supposed to be, is there a workshop book that details the engine, as the haynes manual is just about useless. Also any idea's on the fuel system I have is it the K-Jetronic or the other fuel system as detailed in the Haynes?

Cheers All.

James

That's a 111 engine, should be bourne out by the engine number in your V5 document.

Unless they've updated it since I last bought a copy the Haynes W124 manual is useful only as a rough guide and should not be relied upon for details. IIRC it's based on a very early W124

The later multivalve engines are covered, I believe, in the C Class manual
