i have never read anywhere that state what ages they are suitable for but i would say as a father myself that they would be ok for a teenager. i don't think that adults will feel very dignified sat on the 3rd bench facing the wrong way.
My 17 year old daughter (First of Five) sits in my rear facing jump seats (mind you she is only 5'2") but in all honesty she finds it a little on the cramped side on long journeys.
Could be worth checking out your insurance policy. If your only insured to carry 5 persons then 5 persons it is. I have heard a storey of the police decanting the two out of the rear of a volvo with similarly equipped rear facing seats.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm lead to believe 7 seats, 7 seat belts = no problem. Does this mean Renault Espaces and other 7 seater people carriers are illegal? One suspects a bit of an Urban Myth was recited you.
My Ex is a total bitch and believe you me if it wasn't legal there's no way she'd let me take the kids in it.
With regards to the insurance policy, my policy states that there are seven seats in the car. I checked this when I first bought the car, and made sure this was the case.
