I have had my W124 Estate for a few years and in cold weather I can clear the windscreen and front side windows no problem but the rear passenger windows remain misted up no matter how I set the aircon / heating controls.

Do others have this problem - is it just a fact of life with the W124 or are there any tricks to solve it?

I wondered if there was a way of increasing air flow to the rear somehow , it would be much nicer for the kids if the windows were able to stay clear.

any ideas appreciated

Sorry this is not a direct answer to your problem AND I do understand the problem you are describing.

Have you checked that your drains are clear behind the firewall either side of the car (under the bonnet).

Also check each rear side well in the tailgate section for moisture.

The above introduce additional circulating moisture which flashes off on the rear windows because the airflow as you know ain't so good there.

Sorry for the long winded response.
