My '95 E280 has a partially jammed electric aerial mast; the motor seems to work fine and it does move up and down, but does not retract fully and leaves quite a bit sticking out. I tried (gently) pushing it down myself, but it's stuck fast.

Do I need a new electric aerial or just a mast? and where could I get the part from?

Thanks.

If it's the original Hirschmann aerial the masts are £19 from a dealer. If it's anything else just throw it away and replace it

Please ensure before buying the replacement mast that you can remove the old one, as it is common for the lower section of mast to sieze in the mechanism like it has done on my C230K, If this happens a new aeriel may have to be bought.
