W124 estate rear bumper removal/replacement

Hello everyone,

I'd like to remove and replace my rear bumper, can anyone tell me if it is a straightforward job, for example, the bumper seems to be held on with screws but how can I access these to undo? do I have to remove the lower body trim as there seems no obvious place to unscrew them or have I missed something obvious!

all the nuts for the bumper are accessable from the left had spare wheel well and the right hand well just have a careful look and you'll spot them
