Dear All,

My 230TE rear suspension is too bouncy, if I bounce the rear of the car, it will keep moving for about 4 ups and downs before comming to rest.

In any other car, I would say that the shocks were knackered and need replacing.

This car has the self levelling suspension, and I wondered if this could make a difference and perhaps there was an alternative to replacing the shocks.

You probably need new suspension spheres. This topic has been covered here ad nauseum - do a search and you'll find all the info you could ever want!

Your absolutely right, discussed over and over again, however the only part that makes me nauseous is the cost of replacement spheres that I clearly need.

I especially liked the hissy fit of arguments about how it actually works. By the way Bolide, thanks for the reply, it told me what to search for because i couldn't get past "bouncy"

You may want to ask Andy_K who I believe is a member of this forum. He did a how to on the replacement in another forum.
