whenever i start up my 300ce 24v from warm, it often revs up to circa 2-2500 rpm on its own for 10-20 seconds before going back to tickover. In all other respects,it seems to be running fine.
Any ideas what the problem is? It more annoying than anything but somewhat undermines the "sophisticated image" of a merc coupe.
