Am planning to replace my injectors. Have found a good (cheap @ £13 each) supplier but they can only source Bosch injectors listed for the 12v 300CE engine not the 24v 300 CE-24 that I have ? apparently there's a slight difference between these two types of injector.

The supplier says that "the 24v injector delivers a greater output spray per dwell than the 12v", but that "it's a very small difference between the two types".

German & Swedish don't appear to list the two different injectors but Euro Car Parts do (£21 + VAT for 12v version; £24 + VAT for 24v version), while the MBZ dealer is quoting £40.41 + VAT per injector for the 24v ones!

Does anyone have any experience of putting the 12v injectors into a 24v engine ? i.e. is there really going to be any evident difference? Obviously what would be nice to hear is that I won?t notice anything between the injector types so to go for the cheap ones and save the money (£100)!

Regards,

The older type injectors open at a much lower pressure than the later type which could lead to all sorts of difficulties if you switched them over.
Stick with the correct Bosch type from one of the big names you have listed.

I would also tend to be a little concerned by a potential supplier saying that the earlier type will do, might be a good idea to use someone else as a matter of principal.
