Hi, this is a bit dull but all the dashboard/instrument lights that are supposed to come on when the lights come on don't. All the other courtesy/interior lights instruments and elecrics work as do the external lights.

The main fuse box is ok - is there a separate fuse for these?

thanks

This is normally the dimmer knob, that is the mileometer re set knob, the black one, try giving this a few sharp rotations and see if they come on

Mine were playing up the other day-on and off. I think I have a dodgy dimmer rheostat. Managed to get it to work consistently by "fiddling" with it !! Replacement would seem to involve replacing the instrument pack...

Do the heater controls & the other switches light up?
If not, then press the rheostat in & rotate it back & forth a few times. If this makes no difference, then remove the cluster & check for power to the back of the rheostat.Ifyou have power in but not out then the rheostat is at fault.
If the heater controls do light up,then my guess is that you have a fault on the back of the instrument cluster.

The rheostat is available separately.

Just for the record there is a little red fuse on the rear of the cluster and that is the next thing to try if the knob rotating does not work

the black one by the mileometer re set.

The mileometer reset button is the rheostat, you twist it to dim/brighten. You push it to reset.
