W124 lights staying on

Some of my tail lights are staying lit on my 1988 w124 when i turn on the key .both upper outside lights stay on when switch is in off position What may be the cause

Fergal1975 First to help us find out just what the light is for ie brakes side light or for the fog light, and come back .

Well investigated and it seems the brake light switch is sticking

So pull out the switch and clean it up, thats if you can, and smear a little silicone on the plunger.
