Hi all,

I don't know if you can help. I am looking for the part number for the blower motor on my 1993 E300 diesel estate. The chassis no is: WDB1241912F274254. Mine has been playing up.

Mercedes in Bristol wouldn't give me the details only the price of the part which is a bit expensive. So, I'm looking for one on Ebay, etc as they do come up occasionally, but they only ever have the part number listed.

If anyone can help it would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Kevin

There's more than one type - you may need to pull yours to find out which type it is

Most of the time the problem is just worn brushes. These are replaceable. If yours is a Bosch motor brushes should be available from a Bosch service centre. It's generally easier to buy brushes & file them down to fit

Dear Kevin,
I have a WDB124191 (1995) also and replaced the blower motor last year (see thread:
http://forums.mercedesclub.org.uk/showthread.php?p=129295&highlight=blower+motor+W124#post129295)
My car (no AC) had a single fan Behr motor, part no. 910 01328.
I replaced this with a new unit of same type (Behr single fan 8EW 009 159241 supplied by Euro car parts part no 219220240 at £161.18 + £28.21 VAT and about £10 postage. The MB dealer (who are often cheaper) were on this occasion about £40 more. The job was time consuming but not difficult (see thread)

Thanks for the info guys.

Is there any way of finding out the part number without actually pulling the blower motor out?

Does anybody have access to a database whereby the chassis number can be matched up to the part number?

Cheers,

Kevin
