w124 question about interior

hi
can anyone tell me how difficult/expensive it is to repair/replace the wood trim just below the ashtray in front of the gear lever which is cracked.
also recovering a worn leather centre arm rest and matching the colour i imagine this is pretty difficult.(its java)
any help much appreciated

Not sure you can repair the trim, replacement is easy enough. It's screwed at it's aft end, lift up the carpet bit behind and you'll see. The front under the ash tray just unhooks as you lift the rear up.

For the leather bits find a trimmer/upholsterer local to you and see what they say.

wood trim will cost virtually nothing from a scrappie, or always loads of people breaking 124s on e-bay. Replacement is a 10 minute job.

Armrest recovering

Hi,
Ive just bought a E320 coupe from Charles Ironside and he had just had mine recovered prior to buying it, im sure he would oblige where he had it done, hes in Bentley, Hampshire.
