W124 Radiator Expansion Hose

Hi,

Has anyone replaced the small right-angled connector that is inserted into the radiator near the top hose? This is the connector which is used for the hose to the expansion tank.

Mine is leaking slightly, so I bought a new one, however from the looks of it, it is designed to be inserted, but not removed!

Anyone replaced one of these without trashing the radiator tank?

Hi Richard,

I know the bit you mean, mine leaks a bit too. I've not tried to remove it as it looks like a plastic snap-fit in place, and I don't fancy my chances of removing the plastics tangs without snapping them....

I was thinking of just trying some silicone sealant. Not clever, but if it works....
