W124 Radiators

I have a W124 230E 2.3litre 4 cylinder which is 1991. The radiator is leaking and as a result the car is off the road.
Today I was in a local scrapyard and found a 260E with what appears to be a good radiator fitted.
As one car is a 4 cylinder and the other is 6 cylinder how much difference is there. Neither car has air con and it looks very similar.
Before I try and remove the item from the car does anyone know if it will fit my 230 or will I have loads of mods to do.
All ideas and help welcomed as I cant stand the car being off the road too much longer.

The 260 radiator will physically fit in there but alas the hoses join the radiator in different places. Better search for the right one. One from a 200 - 230 will fit.

Thank you for the welcome I have been a looking at the forum for while but only just had a real reason to post.
The radiator has been problem for while and I am just replacing the head gasket after some overheating.
While its in bits I thought I would take the opportunity to replace the rad as well.
Anyway I do really appreciate your input and I will wait for the correct one or may even buy a new one. The re-cording sounds fine and I will use this an option if I cant get the correct unit.
Thanks you for the fast reply and the information

Have you priced a new rad? Euro car parts wanted 85quid for my 124 250D last year.

At that price I would never use a secondhand one

Thanks for the information I will try Euro Car parts as all the rest of the stuff has come from there. I should be able to get the head off this week and then rebuild it ready for the annual MOT.
Thanks to all of you again
