Here's an idea... if you are looking to replace the carpets in your w124..try homebase.

They have some great looking floor mats that can be fitted neatly into a w124 with a minimal cutting (on the driver side; to accomodate foot rest and accelarator pedal.

The carpets are called: KEMPTON "under your feet range". They have a ribbed surface.

The back carpets are 40cm by 60cm...and cost 2.99 each.
The front carpets are obviously bigger and cost 4.99 each.

They are plain with no tradmarks and logos....and gives the car an original classic carpet look (minus the MB logo). There is a range of soft colours.
I really hate the cheap carpets that are out there to buy from motor shops. Even the expensive ones in Halfords dont look as good as these. Also normal rear mats barely cover the floor space. :-?

or you could go to your dealer and buy a set of genuine MB mats for your car for about £35. These do have the logo on the drivers mat, they also have a heel pad, edge trims and fit both the front and rear footwells perfectly without any cutting or trimming. Even with heavy use they'll last you 2 or 3 years before they start to look a bit tatty and another year or so before you really have to replace them.

MB have now decieded not to fit heel pads any longer as the carpets never wear out. so a good way to bring your car up to date.
