Usual problem with the outer bolster on the driver's seat of my 1993 220TE: it's wearing out. Local dealer says I can get a replacement bolster quite cheaply (!) but thought it might be a problem fitting it. Does anyone have any experience of this? Or is is easier (but obviously more expensive) to buy the whole seat, either new or 2nd-hand?

This is standard on W124s. The easiest fix is to patch the worn part or to let in a new piece of leather / cloth on the worn panel. The material is available from MAH in Germany

If the bolster from MB is "reasonably" priced, why not buy it a get a trimmer / upholsterer to fit it ;)
