Hi all.

Just a quick question, does anyone know how often spark plugs need replacing on a W124 E class? is it every service?

Thanks in advance!

You don’t say what year or what size of engine.

Hi Sean, The normal service interval is at 6000mls and I think the spark plug replacement is every 12,000mls i.e. every other one. I am mean, I clean and gap them properly and generally replace them at 15,000mls (2x7,500 mls services). Champion used to give the replacement interval at 15,000 in the days when quality control and operating conditions were more primitive, so I can't be too far off.

According to autodata the 2.0litre gets changed every 12,000mls. Yet the 2.2 litre gets changed at 18,000 seems strange.
