hi, can anyone help? i've recently purchased a 1996 e200 w124 that has the seven seats fitted. one of the seat belts for the rearmost seats is not fitted to its top (roof) mounting point. the bracket is on the seat belt but the bolt or stud that fixes it to the roof is missing. my question is can anybody tell me what type of fitting is used and can it be done at home or does it have to go to a specialist? thanks in advance for any answers, rod.

why not just compare to the way the other side fits?, from memory they simply bolt into an existing captive thread so only correct bolt size required!

Why not go to a dealer and order the parts?

From memory there's a short shouldered bolt, a spring washer and a fibre washer. It's not a standard bolt. As G Man says, it's the same on the other side

Why is it missing? Has someone done a 7-seat conversion on it? If so make sure that everything that should be there is there and that it's all mounted properly

Original 7-seaters have a pull strap on the tailgate to shut it. Most retrofitted cars don't have it
