W124 sliding/tilt sunroof not tilting.

Sunroof sliding OK but has now stopped tilting. Faulty switch I presume, or does it have a 'quirk' somewhere?

Exactly the same as mine. Not looked at it yet; but then I have a mistrust of sunroofs in general.

how often do you use the tilt? I found my old 300E's sunroof needed regular action to keep things moving, so to speak. If it won't tilt up but you can hear the motor trying to push it, try giving it a gentle helping hand and push it up. You won't damage anything and it seemed to work for mine.

Worked once when demonstated by previous owner, and once more by myself a couple of weeks later but nothing for several months. Been attending to the more important points lately so didn't give it much thought again till now as the sliding mode is fine.

No motor noise at all in tilt mode. Tried it directly from closed and from the open position but no joy either way.
