W124 speakers

hi all, newbie here,

I have trawled this site (excellent) since i recently acquired my 200E in search of some replacement speakers for the dash. You know, those awkward 120mm size to drop in to replace the cruddy Kenwoods already fitted. Mercedes wanted just under £50 for the originals but I wanted something better.

For anyone considering a straight replacement I can recommend a pair of Rainbow Dreamline KX120. Available from Ray Smith audio in Edinburgh. just over 60 quid delivered. And they sound fab.

ordered at 3pm, arrived at 12.30 pm next day, took 10 mins to fit. Brilliant for the price, easy to fit and heartily recommended.

NOt sure about the rear sizes but there is some good information on the German ebay sites and they speak English and can deliver to uk.

thats where I got my initial info for the fronts. And those rainbows still sound great to me.
