Guys

The electric sunroof on my 300 TE will slide but not tilt. If I try to tilt it, it just makes a horrible clicking sound from the boot. It does the same when I close it from slide if I keep the button pressed once closed. Anyone know what the cause is and if it is worth fixing?
Thanks !

Hmm...I wonder why its doing it then? It certainly slides well, but will not tilt at all, just producing that noise.

Hi there, I don't have problems with my sunroof sliding or tilting but when it's closed I can hear a fairly loud squeaky/ rubbing noise. I presume the rubber seal is rubbing against the glass which is creating the noise. Would you have any idea of what type of lubrication I can use on the rubber? If I don't have the roof open then the noise is loud and I have to close the cover. Comments/ advise would be appreciated.

Thanks

The noise that you can hear is the cable slipping on the drive normally because the roof is too stiff.

Spray all of the moving parts with PTFE or Silicon,,it clear and will not stain anything, close it by hand a few times and it should be OK

Hi Malcolm
Do you mean my noise, or tmitch's noise? If mine, you mean lubricate and then use the emergency winder to work it through the positions?
Many thanks.
